17. OTHER FUN STUFF

Next, you should give thought to the following:

My older brother is one of the best guitarists in the world when it comes to technical skill, and he also has a PhD in Engineering.

My sister is a bank manager with education fit for a president. She is a Master of Social Sciences.

My younger brother, birthed by my father’s new wife, has a Doctor’s degree in mathematics.

My mother used to be, before her retirement, a top photographer, journalist, director and theatre manager as well as an author.

When my father lived, he was one of the founders of Picosun Oy.

Picosun is a world leader in thin film coating technology, which, in practice, means processors and boards the size of atoms.

Tuomo Suntola was granted the Millennium Award for this, one million euros, even though he had made the invention back in the 1970s. My father gave the invention a practical application.

My paternal uncle was an Olympic medallist in Aesthetic Group Gymnastics and the first man in the world to do a one-finger handstand. He used to have his own show at the Linnanmäki amusement park.

My maternal uncle was the Chief Physician at the Pitkäniemi Psychiatric Hospital in Tampere before he retired.

One of my aunts was, before retirement, the Chief Physician at the Department of Psychiatry at Oulu University Hospital, and later the Chief Physician of Youth Psychiatry.

Another aunt of mine was an occupational therapist, and later a psychotherapist, even though she had to go to school as left-handed in the 1960s.

She also studied English and acquired a native level in it.

One of my cousins is a doctor, another is a top coder, a real computer wizard.

I don’t think I am genetically too far from my family, even though I am just a mere practical nurse.

From my resume, you can see that I have studied the Human, without realising I did.
