8. BIOSPHERE AS GOD

After some thought, I came to the conclusion that there is nothing else that can assume the place or role of God aside our Biosphere. (Except, of course, the entity of Human, the whole herd, but this is a smaller god.)

The Biosphere encompasses everything living.

It affects everything that exists in our reality.

As far as I understand, Siddharta Gautama came to this same conclusion before me.

We do not have to, and there is no reason for us to care for other realities, like other places in the Universe. They are so far away from our reality that our realities have practically no impact on them. Nothing beyond our solar system, at least, can affect us in real time in any way. It is against the laws of physics. The only such thing could be cosmic microwave radiation.

The Universe did affect our lives already about 66 million years ago.
Was the asteroid 66 million years ago sent by God so that we could come into existence? Who knows. I don’t. Do you? Of course it was. Who else could it be?

Then I started to think of this cosmic microwave radiation that initiated the whole process, the mutations.
Without the mutations that were induced by radioactive radiation following the Big Bang, it is unlikely that we existed, at least in our present-day form. Other causes of mutation do exist in the universe, for example supernovas.

From here, you could logically come to the conclusion that God is the Universe who gave life to all of us, or created us, or composed us, and so on…

Still, I come to the same conclusion as Siddharta Gautama once, maybe in a different light, and I think the Biosphere is a more relevant god to the various organisms we represent.

The Biosphere is actually a functioning, living subject. It is our only real god, this entity growing on Planet Earth, life itself

It is the only god with which prayers are not helpful but action is. It is the only god that can be perceived. It is the only god that answers to us. It is the only god that kills us if we kill it, meaning that we will die if it dies. It is the only god of which we are a part. It is the only god with which we can cooperate. It is the only god with which we should cooperate. It is the only god that is real!
